Two men arrested in connection with Torpoint burglary

Police have confirmed that two men were arrested in Plymouth on Wednesday 27 March 2013 on suspicion of aggravated burglary at Torpoint.

The arrest follows a burglary in Anthony Road, Torpoint. A property was burgled at around 7.30 p.m. on Monday 25 March 2013 and Devon and Cornwall Police say that a small amount of property was stolen.

Police had issued a statement prior to the arrest stating that they were keen to speak to a pair of men who were seen in the Anthony Road and town area during the evening. The first man was described as being dark skinned, 20 to 25 years old and 5 ft 10 inches tall. He was of athletic build and had short, black afro style hair. He was wearing a medium blue, baggy tracksuit top with a small white pattern. He was with another man, described as being 5 ft 8 inches tall, wearing a dark colour top and black canvas trousers with side pockets.

The arrested men were interviewed at Crownhill police station.

A 20 year old man from Torpoint has since been released on police bail until 24 May 2013.

Ryan Nicholson,21, from Plymouth has been charged with aggravated burglary and he will appear before Plymouth Magistrates this morning.
