Head to Drake Circus, Plymouth, on Saturday 30th April for a chance to meet the BBC’s first ever superstar.  British TV icon and national treasure Muffin the Mule will be appearing in Drake Circus on Saturday 30th April.

Learn about his rise to fame, have a picture taken with him and meet the man behind Muffin, Will McNally whose Grandparents were Muffin's original owners.

Celebrating his 70th Birthday this year, Muffin was the first ever children’s TV character on the BBC. With his catchy theme tune “We want Muffin” and talented accompanist - Annette Mills - Muffin was a big hit. He even had his own range of merchandise including books, records, games and toys.

Muffin would usually be seen dancing on top of a piano as Annette Mills played it. He was supported by a whole host of other puppet characters, who will also be making an appearance at Drake Circus such as Mr. Peregrine Esquire the penguin, Oswald the Ostrich and Willie the Worm.

Muffin the Mule will be meeting and greeting fans in Drake Circus on the ground floor, outside Marks and Spencer.
