Travel information for Rod Stewart concert
Special travel arrangements are in place for the Rod Stewart concert at Home Park on Tuesday 7 June.
There will be no general parking at the ground (except a limited number of spaces for disabled drivers) and concert-goers are being advised to use public transport to get to and from the event.
Stagecoach will be running special park and ride services from the bus stop outside Plymouth Pavilions on Millbay Road, Plymouth Pavilions, the George and Coypool, with buses running every 10 to 12 minutes from 5pm until 7.30pm. After the show, buses will return to these sites until the concert venue is cleared.
A return ticket will cost £2.20 from the Pavilions, £2.30 from the George and £3 from Coypool. For full details call 495200. Passengers are asked to have the exact fare ready if possible to minimise delays.
There are also Stagecoach and Citybus services from the city centre to Alma Road and Outland Road, both just a short walk from Home Park. Standard fares will apply. For more information call Traveline on 0871 200 22 33.
All city centre car parks will be staying open on Tuesday night so concert goers can collect their vehicles after the show.
The Milehouse car park will be out of use from around 3.30pm, although drivers will be allowed to collect cars that have been parked earlier in the day. If you are dropping someone off or picking someone up please agree a suitable location away from the ground – vehicles will not be allowed onto the Home Park site.
If you are planning to visit the Plymouth Life Centre or Central Park in the afternoon or evening please consider alternative travel options as the area will be extremely busy and the Life Centre car park is likely to be full.
