Three-vehicle collision on the A38

Three fire appliances from Plympton, Crownhill and Greenbank were despatched to the scene of a three-vehicle road traffic collision on the dual carriageway in the Marsh Mills to Deeplane section of the A38 on Thursday morning.

Crews confirmed that drivers and passengers were free and clear of the vehicles and assisted with two casualties until the arrival of ambulance crews who took them to hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

One lane of the Exeter-bound A38 carriageway was closed and there have been some delays.
