Plymouth's Theatre Royal is set to re-open on Thursday (26 September 2013) after a six-month regeneration project.

Phase One of the project has involved major refurbishments to the front of house areas and includes an extension to the front of the building, a new shop and café including alfresco seating, a showcase restaurant and a terrace overlooking the city.

Phase Two of the Regeneration Project has already started - a galaxy of stars engraved with the names of theatre supporters will be going in this week as part of a complete re-landscape of the Theatre's exterior areas and The Lab, a third performance space hosting the Theatre's community work, will be open at the end of October.

The Theatre Royal Plymouth opens with Fight Night, a Drum Theatre co-production with dynamic theatre company Ontroerend Goed. On Friday 27 September the Theatre launches the UK and Ireland tour of the National Theatre's War Horse. Tickets for War Horse have sold out but there is an exclusive opportunity to see Michael Morpurgo reading extracts from his original novel in War Horse: The Concert.

The full programme and details of the restaurant, bars and café for the Theatre Royal is available on their website.
