A Taste of the English Riviera: Seafood Festival Returns
This autumn, the English Riviera will once again celebrate one of its greatest natural assets as England's Seafood FEAST returns with a standout line-up of events.
Now firmly established as one of the area's signature food events and a must-do occasion for seafood ‘foodies’, the highlight of the culinary calendar will return from Monday 21 September to Sunday 04 October.
Restaurants, cafés, pubs and hotels across Torquay, Paignton and Brixham will create exclusive menus and tasting experiences celebrating locally landed seafood to shine a spotlight on the acclaimed seafood hotspot of the UK.
With more than 50 species of fresh fish and seafood on offer at Brixham Fish Market, which delivers to the local eateries and beyond, visitors are invited to experience the freshest catch possible, served straight from the area’s crystal waters.
From harbourside dining and chef-led tasting menu experiences to seafood safaris and locally landed specialities, England's Seafood FEAST invites everyone to discover the destination's exceptional hospitality and coastal charm.
Local dining favourite, The Elephant, owned by Michelin-starred chef, Simon Hulstone, makes a notable return to the festival, offering visitors the opportunity to experience one of the UK’s finest seafood culinary destinations.
Kelly Widley, Seafood FEAST Programme Curator, said: “England's Seafood FEAST provides a fantastic platform to showcase our restaurants, support local businesses, encourage visitors to extend their stays and reinforce the destination's reputation as England's Seafood Coast.
“Every booking made during the FEAST supports local businesses and helps celebrate an industry that continues to shape our communities for generations to come."
Carolyn Custerson, Chief Executive Officer of the English Riviera BID Company, commented: “Celebrating the English Riviera’s world-class seafood and coastal charm is something the whole destination looks forward to every year.
“Whether you're looking for fine dining overlooking the coast, a relaxed seafood platter on the harbourside, traditional fish and chips, or something completely different, there's something to suit every taste and every budget.”
With new events and participating venues being added to the line-up, now is the perfect time to start planning the ultimate seafood adventure.
