A team of colleagues from Swinton Insurance has raised £1,105 for the South West Costal Path Association (SWCPA) and Cancer Research, by walking 200 miles from Plymouth to Poole.

12 Business leaders from 11 South West-based branches of the UK’s largest high street insurance broker completed the momentous trek, which took place over five Sundays in October.

Each Sunday the team walked an average of 40 miles, starting at the Stoke Beach in Plymouth on the 2nd of October and completing the walk on the Sunday 30th October at the South Haven Point in Poole Harbour.

Shahin Makanvand, Area Development Manager said: “We wanted to raise money for the SWCPA and Cancer Research as they’re two charities that both do amazing work both in the South West community and across the UK.

“The walk was a real challenge, but we’ve been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received from our customers, colleagues and friends, and want to thank everyone that donated.

“At Swinton Insurance we’re dedicated to supporting charities that our colleagues care about, and our head office has donated £50 for every £100 raised.”
