Summer of Print

Join a Summer of Print at Thelma Hulbert Gallery (THG) and try out inspiring new printmaking activities.

This July and August, THG is offering two programmes of workshops: Summer Print! for adults, and Summer sessions for 11 to 17-year-olds

To highlight their upcoming exhibition Double Elephant: 30 Years of Print (11 July - 29 August), the workshops will explore the many different techniques involved in printmaking.

Choose from drypoint and chine collé or lithography to gelli plate printing, prepare to be swept away with these absorbing activities and create beautiful designs to take home.

These inspiring workshops will be led by printmaking experts from Double Elephant Print Workshop.

Summer Print! for adults

• Wed 22 July, 5-7.00: Letterpress poster printing
• Wed 29 July, 11 – 3.00: Cloudscape reduction printing
• Wed 5 August, 3-6: Rubber stamp printing
• Wed 12 August, 5-7.30: Kitchen lithography printing
• Wed 19 August, 5-7.30: Drypoint printing and Chine collé
• Wed 26 August, 5-7.00: Gelli Plate printing

Summer Sessions for 11 to 17-year-olds

• Wed 22 July, 2-4: Letterpress printing
• Wed 5 August, 11-2: Block printing with rubber stamps
• Wed 12 August, 2-4: Kitchen lithography printing
• Wed 19 August, 2-4: Drypoint printing
• Wed 26 August, 2-4: Gelli Plate printing
