Step Into the Magic: Cofton Unveils Its First-Ever Christmas Wonderland
This December, Cofton Holidays in Dawlish will sparkle brighter than ever before as it opens the gates to its first-ever Christmas Wonderland — an enchanting, immersive festive experience where families can share laughter, wonder, and a touch of North Pole magic, right in the heart of the Devon countryside.
Running from Friday 5th to Sunday 21st December, this brand-new event brings the spirit of Christmas to life with twinkling lights, festive fun, and heart-warming memories for the whole family — all in one place, with no queues and free parking included.
A Festive Day Out for All Ages
At the heart of it all is Santa at Cofton, a magical new grotto experience unlike any other. Set inside a beautifully decorated Mongolian yurt, little ones will enjoy a personal visit and photo with Santa and his cheerful elves, receive a special gift, and sign Santa’s Good List before heading to the festive activity stations. There, they’ll write and post a postcard to the North Pole, make magical reindeer food to take home, and finish their adventure with a delicious hot chocolate and cookie.
Tickets are priced at £17.50 per child, with each hour-long experience designed to be intimate, magical, and filled with festive wonder. It’s Christmas, Cofton-style — cosy, joyful, and made for making memories.
“We wanted to create something truly special for families — not just a visit to Santa, but a whole day of Christmas magic,” said Chris Jeffery, Director at Cofton Holidays. “Cofton’s Christmas Wonderland brings the festive season to life with twinkling lights, joyful moments, and time spent together.”
Festive Food, Drink & Local Treasures
The magic continues across Cofton’s beautifully decorated grounds, where guests can soak up the festive atmosphere with delicious seasonal food and drink.
At The Swan Pub, visitors can enjoy pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, mulled wine, and hot toddies beneath fairy lights and festive garlands. The Pizza Kitchen will serve limited-edition festive pizzas — including Turkey & Cranberry and Brie & Pigs in Blankets — while Amelia’s Café will offer gingerbread lattes, mince pies, and a 2-course festive menu for £25 per person.
Meanwhile, the Christmas Market will showcase local small businesses selling handmade jewellery, confectionery, beauty products, and festive treats — perfect for finding those last-minute stocking fillers.
Capture the Magic
Families can also snap photos beside Santa’s sleigh and reindeer and share them using #SantaAtCofton for the chance to win a festive family prize in Cofton’s Elfie-Selfie Competition.
Plan Your Visit
Each Santa session lasts around one hour, with free parking included and plenty of time to enjoy the wider Christmas Wonderland afterwards. Spaces are limited, and early booking is strongly recommended as tickets are expected to sell out fast.
