As more parts of the country's economy and daily life continues to re-open Stagecoach South West are continuing to put customers, communities and employees first and ensure people can use public transport services safely and confidently.

Through these challenging times, the bus operator has continually kept the wheels turning, keeping essential bus services running, communities connected and provided transport for fellow key workers.

With the UK government advice now that everyone can begin using public transport again, Stagecoach are doing everything they can to give people the confidence to travel. That's why they are making sure their customers are aware of the extensive measures in place to make bus services Covid-secure.

Stagecoach have produced a short video to help customers keep up with the latest developments and use their services safely and easily.

All Stagecoach services in England, Scotland and Wales have been accredited with Visit Britain’s “We’re Good to Go” official mark, recognising the work carried out to meet government and industry Covid-19 guidelines and the processes in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing. The comprehensive regime includes daily deep cleans and contactless payments, in addition to the government's mandatory use of face coverings.

Stagecoach have also introduced new technology to help customers plan their journeys. A “busy bus” feature is now available on the app that uses extensive data and artificial intelligence to provide a traffic light indicator to help customers choose quieter services.

Public transport continues to have a very important role to play in helping to fully restart the economy and in tackling climate change, poor air quality and road congestion in our towns and cities. Stagecoach and other bus operators are talking to the government about how we can encourage greater bus use as part of the country’s green recovery.
