Six week closure for Outland Road sewer work

Plymouth City Council report that a section of Outland Road will be closed for six weeks from Monday 8 April, while South West Water carries out sewer renewal works.

The scheme involves digging down 15 feet through hard rock to reach and renew old sewers buried beneath the road surface.

To enable this work to be done in the most effective and safest way possible, Outland Road will be closed to all traffic, except buses, between Peverell Park Road and the Esso filling station.

Traffic will not be able to exit onto Outland Road from any of the side roads between Ham Drive and Lyndhurst Road.

Diversion routes will be clearly signed and access to the Esso filling station will be maintained.

For more information and maps showing the road closures and diversions see the South West Water website.
