Set to bring Bali vibes to Blackpool Sands this September, the first ever Secret Beach Party has been announced.

The perfect way to soak up the magical last days of summer, the immersive daytime event has been curated as a celebration of connection, collaboration and community. With an all-female line up and hosted on one of South Devon’s most beautiful beaches, guests are invited to dance, play, eat, drink, learn, and create.

Designed to provide an inclusive space to reunite with friends, forge new connections or simply switch off before the return of the school run. The event has been engineered by award-winning event producer and Founder of Morning Gloryville, Samantha Moyo.

Guests will be welcomed by theatrical performers, enjoy beach yoga, creative wellbeing workshops, DJ sets and sparkling sea swims. Plus, all the way from South America, the Loving Collective will be teaching Tango by the ocean.

Moyo said - “After the year we’ve all had, Secret Beach Party is a moment to press pause and reset. We couldn’t think of a more perfect venue to capture the magic of such a joyful moment, celebrating the power of community and coming together.”

Moyo added - “A reunion in paradise, the event combines fun with purpose. Bringing together a talented network of female creatives, we’ll be shining a light on the hugely important work of our incredible collaborators – Common Seas and Mothership. The secret isn’t the party, it’s the connections that await!”

Alice Carder, Empowerment and Business Coach commented - “The second I heard about this party and felt the energy behind it, I knew I had to be there. Magical people called together in a magical setting!”

The all-female DJ line-up

  • Headline act – to be revealed

  • DJ YES MEL (House, Afro-house and tech)

  • DJ PATTY O (Folktronica, Disco and World)

  • DJ SELINA (Soul, Funk and Dance)

  • MC SAM MOYO (Uplifting lyrics + meditation)

About the event partners

Common Seas is joining the Secret Beach Party to help reimagine our relationship with plastic through shining a light on how our health is intrinsically connected to the health of the sea. Believing in healthy seas for all, the social enterprise is tackling the plastic pollution crisis by driving new policy, investing in the circular economy and catalysing a cultural shift in how we make, use and dispose of plastic. Their mission is to quickly and significantly reduce the amount of plastic produced and stop it polluting our rivers and seas.

CEO Founder Jo Royle said - “Plastic is everywhere - including our bodies. It’s in the water we drink, the air we breathe, the food we eat and the clothes we wear. We know it’s inside us, but we don’t know what this means for our health. If everyone knows that plastic is polluting our bodies as well as our rivers and seas – business and government will have greater agency and motivation to do something about it.”

Mothership is a new movement for mothers, as well as grannies, aunties, step mums, godmums, dads, and everybody else who loves kids, to get together and ensure a healthy planet for children to live on. Founder, Jessie Brinton said - “We'll be at the Secret Beach Party because more joy is an essential part of the new world we're building for the kids. Fill yourself up with it and you can do anything.”

House rules - Be kind. Be you. Keep the beach clean. Dress to Shine.
