On Sunday 13th December the Royal William Yard will host its very first Lantern Parade during the Christmas Gift Fair, which runs from12-8pm.

The parade will take place along the main road, beginning at the main gate outside Wildwood and progressing to the Royal William Yard Harbour.  It will take place around 5pm onwards, after Santa’s RNLI Lifeboat arrival.

Visitors are encouraged to come along to the Yard to join the parade and to bring their own lanterns - whether elaborate, decorative or simply a jam jar tied round with a piece of string - everyone is welcome and will be eligible for the Yard’s first ‘Best Lantern Competition’ with prizes offered from one of the Yard’s fantastic restaurants including River Cottage, Bistrot Pierre and Wildwood.

Plymouth’s Military Wives Choir will be performing at 2.45pm and 4.30pm and roasted chestnuts and mulled wine will be on sale to make the browse around stalls more festive than ever.
