The South West Branch of the RAF Police Association are calling for new members.

They meet every two months at The Hunting Lodge near Ivybridge on the first Wednesday of alternate months at 11.30am.  Meetings are followed by lunch.

The next meeting is taking place on Wednesday 4 June.

Several members also take part in the Cenotaph parade on Remembrance Sunday in London, joining several dozen others from all over the country, with one or two travelling across the pond. Members also attend parades, when their standard is carried, and always meet for  Christmas lunch.

The RAF Police are known  as Snowdrops because they all wear white berets.

South West members’ ages vary from people in their 60s to people in their 90s, but the branch also welcomes serving members.

So, if you are a former Snowdrop and would like ot know more, please contact the South West area chairman John Walton on 01395 446234 or by email: clarewalton@talktalk.net

John would be delighted to hear from you.
