Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured on the A38 on Monday evening (11 November 2013).

Shortly after 7.15pm a Yamaha motorcycle and red Nissan Qashqai were involved in a collision on the southbound carriageway of the A38 at Wrangaton, South Brent.

The male motorcyclist was taken to Derriford Hospital with life threatening injuries and is currently in a serious, but stable condition.

The driver and passenger in the car were not injured.

The southbound carriageway was closed at Marley Head for four hours before officers were able to reopen one lane.

Anyone who witnessed this incident is asked to call the serious collisions investigation unit at Newton Abbot on 101, quoting log
