Police appeal for witnesses after altercation

At approximately 9.25am on Tuesday 10th March, an altercation took place between the driver of red taxi and a male pedestrian at the city bound traffic lights of North Hill and North Road East, Plymouth.

It is believed that a pedestrian walked in front a queue of traffic which was waiting to turn into North Road East and an argument ensued, resulting in the pedestrian pulling a chisel out from a carrier bag.

A man was later arrested and has been released on bail pending further enquiries. Police believe that there were a number of vehicles in the area and a number of drivers and members of the public may have been witness to this disturbance.
