Police appeal after dog walker attacked

Police have launched an investigation following reports of an assault that occurred within the grounds of Saltram House, Plympton.

Between 5:15-25pm on Monday 9th January, a female dog walker in her 30’s was attacked by a man who emerged from the bushes and attempted to drag her back in.

The suspect is described as white, 5'7” tall, and of slim build.  He had short, dark hair, and was wearing a dark hooded top, and dark jacket.

The victim fought off the attacker who ran off in the direction of Chelson Meadow, she was unharmed but shaken up by the experience.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, who witnessed the attack or may have seen anything suspicious.
