Nationally acclaimed open air theatre company set to perform in Sidmouth and Exmouth next month

Gloucestershire based professional theatre company Rain or Shine are celebrating its 25th anniversary and, hailed by ‘The Stage’ as “one of the best companies touring open air theatre", is set to delight family audiences once again this summer with Shakespeare’s comedy classic “The Comedy Of Errors”.

Once upon a Time, cruel fate decreed that a family should be torn asunder in a violent shipwreck. The mother lost to the waves, the father and one twin and his bondsman one way, and the other twin and his bondsman another… Years later, in search of their lost family, Antipholus and his bondsman, Dromio, arrive in the port of Ephesus, a city reputedly full of rogues, cheats and sorcerers. Although this is their first visit, merchants greet them as acquaintances, women pursue them as lovers, and everybody knows their names!

East Devon Events and Rain or Shine Theatre Company invites you to witness the comical confusion and chaotic capers of Shakespeare’s hilarious masterpiece!

Suitable for audiences from age 6 to 106, Rain or Shine aim to bring classical theatre into the heart of local communities as they travel across the country from June until September.

The company’s UK tour includes a performance in Blackmore Gardens, Sidmouth in association with East Devon District Council Council on Friday 9th June at 7.00pm. The performance in Manor Gardens, Exmouth in association with East Devon District Council Council will take place on Saturday 10th June at 7.00pm.
