Plymouth’s premier shopping venue is set to get people in the festive spirit this Christmas.

With everything from real snow, local choir performances and Santa’s very own grotto Drake Circus has everything you’d expect of Christmas and more!

Every Thursday, from November 16, Drake Circus will be open until 9pm – giving everyone the chance to experience not only the shopping centre’s fabulous restaurants, but also its amazing Christmas atmosphere.

With a snow machine creating a winter wonderland every day at 4pm outside the Cornwall Street entrance, the fantastic city-wide illuminations and Santa’s grotto, there’ll be a wealth of things to see and do while you shop.

Drake Circus Centre Director Greg Lumley said: “We love this time of year and we have pulled out all the stops to make Christmas 2017 a real time for giving and giggles.

“With snow machines and Santa’s grotto, great food, gift ideas and local choirs singing everyone’s favourite carols throughout December, this really will be a festive season to remember.”

There are also some amazing restaurants and food on the go places for the hungry shopper, including new dining experience Bill’s restaurant which opens on November 27, Yo! Sushi, Costa, Starbucks, M&S Café, Eighty Two Coffee Co in Next, American Fruity, Fuel Juice and Krispy Kreme.

As well as all of the great restaurants on offer, every Thursday from November 30 late night shoppers will be able to indulge in some delicious Cowlick Creamery Ice-cream from their trike.

Drake Circus has more than 70 stores under one roof and the shops and eateries will be open until 9pm every Thursday until December 21, with the car park staying open until midnight and a flat fee to park of £4 after 4pm.

Greg added: “We want to make Drake Circus a one-stop shop for the people of the South West. Every Thursday they can visit us after work, enjoy the great Christmas gifts on offer and the range of different types of places to eat.

“Plus, with all the festive entertainment laid on and the chance to meet Santa, a trip to Drake Circus will really get everyone in the festive mood.”
