Introducing Tabsfest: North Devon's new charity music festival
On Saturday 13th June, from midday to 10pm, TabsFest will bring people together for a fun day of live music, connection and family fun at The Big Sheep — all in support of Tabitha's Smile.
Tabitha's Smile is a newly established local charity created in memory of Tabitha Tulloch-Peet, who passed away in 2024. Tabitha's connection with Kingsley School was a deeply meaningful and enduring part of her life, from her very first days in Pre-School through to October 2024, the school was not just where she was educated, but a place where she truly belonged. She formed lasting friendships, found constant encouragement from her teachers, and embraced every opportunity with the enthusiasm and warmth that defined her. Such was her impact that there is now a Tabs' Award for Positivity presented at Speech Day each year.
Tabitha's Smile has a simple but powerful mission: to create uplifting, memorable experiences for young people aged 13–25 living with cancer and other life-limiting conditions. Through theatre trips and live music events, the charity offers moments of joy and togetherness at a time when they are needed most.
TabsFest will be the charity's very first major fundraising event — a celebration of everything it stands for. Headline act Majesty, the UK's leading Queen tribute band, will be joined by a fantastic line-up of local talent:
Nick Parker and The False Alarms | The Kahunas | Yazzy | Mislaid Grenade | Harry Wallace | Ben Trevor | Fool Custardy | Chivenor Military Ladies Choir
A highlight of the day will be the launch of a previously unreleased song written by Tabitha during her cancer journey, created in collaboration with Yazzy.
Tabitha's mum, Hayley Quinton-Tulloch, said:
"Tabitha poured her heart into music, and working with Yazzy on this song gave her so much joy during her treatment. To now be able to share it with the world, surrounded by music, friends and community at TabsFest, means everything to us. It's a very special way of keeping her spirit alive and letting others experience a part of who she was."
Alongside the music, the day will include circus workshops, puppet show and puppet making, food, drinks and activities for all ages — making it a perfect family day out at The Big Sheep.
