Alice in Wonderland is the theme for the Cullompton SpringFest on Saturday 8 May.

The festival of craft, food and fun is happening in Cullompton town centre between 9.30am and 2pm. It’s a celebration of locally produced food and crafts in the High Street and at the Walronds.

There will be at least 20 local craft stalls in the Walronds garden plus street food and refreshments and an array of interesting food and drink stalls at the award winning Farmers Market in High Street, including many of those seen on the BBC 1 programme The Farmers Country Showdown.

To add to the gaiety the local shops are being encouraged to dress their windows in the Alice in Wonderland theme with a trophy for the best dressed shop window sponsored by Home Instead Mid Devon & Blackdown Hills Senior Care, the Farmers Market stalls and the Craft Market stalls will be also be encouraged to join in and decorate their stalls.

There is also a fancy dress competition, which will be judged in different age group categories at noon in the Walronds garden. Prizes for the winners with judging being carried out by representatives from Willowbank Primary School.

Bring the family in the town centre, find out what the local shops and businesses have to offer, browse the craft and farmers market stalls, join the fun of the fancy dress competition, maybe have a bite of lunch, just the remedy needed to blow away the Pandemic Blues.
