One of the South West region’s leading law firms, Coodes Solicitors, has strengthened its Commercial Property team with the appointment of Hannah Johnson as a Commercial and Agricultural Property Solicitor, based in its Newquay office.

Johnson brings experience across commercial and landed estates matters, with exposure to agricultural property work. Her background includes acting for landed estates, farming families and high-net-worth individuals on land and property management matters.

Head of Commercial Property at Coodes Solicitors, Jo Morgan, commented: "It’s great to welcome such a talented individual to our team at a particularly busy time, with lots of work in the pipeline. Hannah's experience acting for landed estates and agricultural families will complement the team’s strengths and should prove valuable given the nature of our client base across Devon and Cornwall.

“Hannah’s technical skills will be a real asset, as will her broader commercial expertise in drafting and negotiating leases, licences, wayleaves and deeds. It is essential we continue to invest in our team to ensure we can maintain the high standards of service our clients expect.

“The increasing enquiry stream demonstrates the confidence businesses and landowners have in Coodes and Hannah's expertise will be invaluable as we continue to support the commercial and agricultural property needs of the region."

Commercial Property Solicitor at Coodes, Hannah Johnson, said: "I am delighted to be joining Coodes at such an exciting time for the firm. Having built my technical background through roles at leading regional and national firms, I was looking for the right supportive team environment where I could develop my knowledge and career further.

"The firm's ambition and growth trajectory really appealed to me. I thrive in busy working environments where there's real momentum and it's clear that Coodes is a firm that's going places. Coodes’ Jo Morgan's personal reputation in the sector and across the region was also a significant deciding factor when choosing the next step in my career. I'm looking forward to contributing to the team's continued success."

Johnson joins the firm at a time of significant growth, with the Commercial Property team currently on a trajectory to deliver their  best year in 2025/6. With activity into the team increasing substantially, Coodes has also appointed a new Paralegal, Chelsea Stimpson, to the team to help meet rising demand for commercial property services throughout the region.
