Coach crash victims named

Two women who died in a coach in Cornwall have been named locally as Margaret Luxton and Carol Mundoon.

The women died when the coach they were travelling in hit a wall on the A387 near Looe on Tuesday 13 May.

13 people were hospitalised by injuries received in the crash but have now been discharged.

Others with minor injuries were assessed and treated by paramedics at the scene.

The coach was hired for a trip organised by Exmouth Age Concern.

The 57-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail until 11 August.

Although named locally police are awaiting the formal identification of the two women who died as a result of the collision.

A police investigation into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
