Arlington Court has enhanced its sustainability efforts by increasing its electric vehicle charging infrastructure from one to four charging points in its main visitor car park.

This upgrade increases availability for visitors to conveniently charge their electric vehicles while enjoying the estate. The expansion of charging facilities reflects the National Trust's dedication to combatting climate change.

Tom Courtney, Facilities Manager for the National Trust, has commented:

“We know that lots of people already travel by electric car when they visit Arlington, and this will quickly become the norm as the nation transitions away from petrol and diesel vehicles”

“As an organisation, the Trust is working hard on being carbon net-zero by 2030 and this futureproofing work at Arlington is an important local step towards achieving this much wider ambition.”

The new charging points have been installed and are being run bydestination charging operator RAW Charging.

The work at Arlington is part of a programme to increase the number of electric vehicle charging stations at Trust places across the country. To plan your day at Arlington visit: Arlington Court | Devon | National Trust.
