Adoption service seeks new families

A new adoption service has started within Devon.

Families for Children are currently looking to find new families for their new adoption service Fostering to Adopt.

The service places young babies during the period of temporary local authority care with foster carers who are also approved adopters, and may adopt the child if approved by court.

There are many advantages of this type of adoption such as avoiding damage caused by terminating temporary foster carers, and children are placed with carers who may become their adopters.

More local authorities across the UK are using Fostering to Adopt regulations to place their baby into permanent care.
