They may now clap their hands instead of shouting "Bingo!", and order their food on apps - but guests at Ladram Bay Holiday Park in Devon couldn't be more delighted to be back.

That's the finding of director Zoe House who says that she and her team have been overwhelmed by the messages of support and thanks received from customers since re-opening.

The Budleigh Salterton park, family-run for over 75 years, believes its beautiful coastal location and surrounding tranquil countryside provides just the tonic people are now looking for.

There is soon likely to be a "no vacancies" sign on Ladram Bay's touring and camping pitches – but those wanting to rent a holiday caravan or lodge may still be in with a chance.

That's because, said Zoe, the park has been able to increase its volume of rented accommodation in recent years in order to meet escalating demand:

"It's absolutely fantastic to see the park buzzing again, and filled with smiling faces of our much-missed customers and team members!" she said.

"In the run-up to re-opening, we worked very hard behind the scenes to put in place a wide range of social distancing and other safety measures.

"The aim has been to ensure that guests can enjoy a worry-free stay, and everyone has taken the changes in their stride without any problems.

"A few things are different, but overall we are providing the same type of holiday experience as always, and giving guests the well-earned break they need and deserve," added Zoe.

Even live performances are back on the menu, thanks to artists being able to perform to outside audiences from the balcony of the park's Pebbles Restaurant.

There's entertainment too outside the Beach Shack on Ladram Bay's private beach from where watersports equipment can also be hired.

The park's popular splash zone is also in operation, with limited entry numbers, and will be joined later in July by the swimming pool managed under government guidelines.

Meanwhile, grown-ups and children are also able to let off steam with a range of organised outdoor activities both on the beach and in the park's cliff-top field with its outstanding sea views.

"I think the coming months are going to be exceptionally busy for us, but our guests and their kind words are all the motivation we need!" said Zoe

Accommodation options, ranging from holiday caravans to top-end luxury lodges with private hot-tubs, are detailed on the park's website at www.ladrambay.co.uk
