Devon holiday park owners announce £1.3 million winter investment programme ahead of 2026 season
Owners of the Ladram Bay Holiday Park and sister park Castle Brake in Devon have announced a major winter investment programme of more than £1.3 million ahead of the 2026 season.
The family-run company has allocated more than £1 million to a series of improvements designed to offer guests more comfort, choice, and entertainment at Ladram Bay and £300,000 to a holiday home pitch development at Castle Brake. Works are taking place during the winter closure period ahead of both parks reopening on Friday 6th March.
Zoe House is a Director of Ladram Bay, and her family have owned Ladram Bay since 1943 and Castle Brake for the last 18 years. She said: “We are incredibly proud to be investing in both Ladram Bay and Castle Brake this winter, ensuring our parks continue to offer the high standards and memorable experiences our guests deserve. Our commitment to improvement is at the heart of our family-owned values and reflects our long-term dedication to providing great value holidays for generations to come.
“We’re so grateful to offer families a special place to create lasting memories together, which is why our winter investment programme is designed not only to enhance comfort but also to continually improve and elevate the park experience that keeps guests returning year after year.”
This winter sees the introduction of a new fleet of 13 modern holiday homes at Ladram Bay Holiday Park. The new homes are all three-bedroom models, reflecting strong and growing demand from families and multi-generational groups looking for larger accommodation. Manufactured by ABI UK, these homes boast contemporary interiors and features, enabling guests to enjoy an even more relaxing and comfortable stay.
The investment also sees the enhancement of several guest facilities, including the refurbishment of communal women’s restrooms and showers. The beloved pirate ship ‘NaNa of Ladram’ in the children's outdoor play area is undergoing a rebuild to offer younger guests an upgraded, imaginative space.
New outdoor furniture and the installation of speakers outside the at Pebbles restaurant will create a vibrant atmosphere for events and gatherings, while the introduction of silent disco equipment adds a flexible, family-friendly entertainment option with low noise levels.
Castle Brake, located nine miles from Ladram Bay, sees a £300,000 investment in a new pitch development, transforming an existing touring field into a high-quality static caravan area which will also include two holiday lodges. The project includes new roads, hard-standing bases, services, connections and landscaping, creating a fully serviced environment for a mix of two- and three-bedroom static caravans.
Zoe concluded: “Continued investment in our parks is essential to meet evolving guest expectations and to ensure our sites remain at the forefront of the UK holiday park sector.”
