The Royal Castle Hotel in Dartmouth is celebrating Devon Restaurant Month with an offer that’s hard to refuse; a three-course Devon Taster Menu for £40 per head and a hotel room for free.

The only catch, other than the locally caught crab, is that you have to live in Devon to take up the offer, and if you want to stay in one of the highly sought-after river view rooms, there will be an extra charge of £20 per person. Either way, with rooms normally costing upwards of £127 per night, it’s a steal!

Throughout June the offer is available Monday to Thursday in the Grill Room Restaurant, situated on the second floor overlooking the inner harbour and the enchanting River Dart. Local lamb, crab and a selection of fresh produce from the county will be used to create this lovely three-course menu.

Commenting on the initiative Nigel Way, owner of The Royal Castle Hotel and a Devonian by birth, said, “We’re great supporters of Devon Restaurant month and are delighted to offer Devon diners the opportunity to not only experience a menu that celebrates the best of the county’s produce, but which rewards them with the chance to make the most of their evening by staying with us in style. We’re looking forward to welcoming guests and diners from across the county and will be flying our newly commissioned four yard Devon flag in celebration of the month.”

As part of Devon Restaurant month The Royal Castle’s sister hotel, The Royal Seven Stars in Totnes, is offering 20% off all meals ordered at TQ9 Brasserie during June.
