Food Drink Devon Awards announce last call for entries

Food and drink brands across Devon need to move quickly to enter the prestigious Food Drink Devon Awards.

The county’s leading food and drink organisation, Food Drink Devon, has announced its last call for entries into the awards. The deadline for the esteemed awards, judged by leading industry experts, is Friday 19th April. Open to both Food Drink Devon’s members and non-members, the awards can be entered online at www.foodanddrinkdevon.co.uk/awards/entry-form.

This year’s black tie awards’ ceremony will be held on Monday 7th October at the magnificent 19th century Victorian hotel, The Imperial in Torquay. With categories across production and hospitality, there really is an award for everyone. Accolades include ‘Best Producer’, ‘Best Brand’, ‘Best Farmers’ Market’ and ‘Best Training School’, along with hospitality and retailer awards including ‘Best Street Food’, ‘Best Hotel Restaurant’, ‘Best Online Retailer’ and ‘Best Community Shop’ and more.

Barbara King, chair of Food Drink Devon says: “Food Drink Devon’s Awards champion the county’s most respected and passionate artisan food and drink producers and establishments. We’re increasingly impressed with the number and standard of entries and we’re proud, through the awards, to recognise and celebrate the very best of the region’s food and drink scene.”

Barbara continues: “After months of blind tasting, deliberation and judging, we’ll be revealing the shortlisted entrants in August, before announcing all our fabulous winners at the awards’ ceremony in Torquay’s iconic, The Imperial.”
