No picnic is complete without a Ploughman’s, and Warrens Bakery has taken this to new levels with their latest pasty creation, the Ploughman’s Pasty. Brimming with ham, cheese and pickle, it’s a must have for your picnic baskets this summer.

Designed by their award-winning master bakers, the Ploughman’s Pasty has been created to taste as wonderful hot as it is cold, giving you an excuse to pick up a stash and save them for later. It’s so good that HRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were amongst the very first people to try it at Taste of the West’s Food Fair on the Green in Exeter.

As if this isn’t enough to get you in the mood for summer, they’ve also created a vegetarian Picnic Pasty filled with grilled vegetables, sweet sundried tomatoes and creamy mozzarella.

Named as the best Cornish Pasty Maker in the World Pasty Championships this year, Warrens Bakery attribute their success not only to the provenance of their ingredients, but to their team who hand fill and hand crimp all of the pasties which are delivered to their 50 bakeries across the South West.

It’s not just pasties you’ll find in their new ‘Perfect Picnic’ range. Adding to their existing artisan range, the hand crafted Sundried Tomato Focaccia with Red Onion, Rocket and Melted Cheese sits alongside six classic cakes from mini Lemon Meringue Pies to Fresh Fruit Tarts.

Over the years Warrens Bakery has received a long list of accolades for their artisan pasties, savouries, scones, breads, cakes, sweet treats and regional speciality biscuits. In 2015 they were recognised in the prestigious Craft Business Award in the Baking Industry Awards 2015 and this year they won a haul of awards at The 2016 British Pie Awards.
