Celebrity chef announced for Flavour Fest

Winner of the Great British Bake Off 2016, Candice Brown has been announced as the celebrity chef appearing at this year’s Flavour Fest.

Returning for its fourteenth year, Flavour Fest 2017 promises yet another jam packed weekend of food, fun and entertainment. Visitors can look forward to an exciting three day programme of chef demonstrations, even more food stalls and a full line up of entertainment for all the family from Friday 2 June to Sunday 4 June in Plymouth’s City Centre. 

Candice Brown said: “This will be my first visit to Britain’s Ocean City. I’m looking forward to meeting some new friends and sharing some baking fun.”

Appearing at Flavour Fest on Saturday 3 June Candice, who was taught to bake by her beloved Nan, made a name for herself with her extravagant bakes and perfect lipstick. Since her victory Candice has been busy with a diverse range of projects including baking on This Morning, writing a column for The Sunday Times and doing live baking demonstrations across the country.

Jon Walton, City Centre Manager, said: “Plymouth City Centre Company is delighted to announce that Candice Brown will be joining us at Flavour Fest 2017 to demonstrate her baking prowess and add to our already fantastic chef stage programme.”

The three day event is one of the most popular events in the South West’s food calendar and has continually grown in popularity with over 100,000 visitors attending each year.
