Plymouth's ‘Summer’s End’ Cider Festival returns to see off the Summer in style!

Diaries at the ready, Saturday 5th September, the city is getting ready for another fantastic Cider Festival at Plymouth Pavilions, the third trip to the quaint village of ‘Summer’s End’ where the cider always flows, the music plays and we dance long into the night.

Supporting local artists

Local acts return to the main stage again with an open invitation to ‘Take Centre Stage’. Bands, solo artists, bagpipe players or tambourine freestylers, they’re all welcome to apply at www.plymouthpavilions.com/ciderfest

Plymouth Pavilions are proud to be a part of the UK music scene. Recently the venue has played host to incredible sold out gigs by local acts Ben Howard and Bastille and by inviting a wide variety of local unsigned performers to play at the Cider Festival.

Last year the crowds were entertained by fantastically talented acts including upcoming local singer/songwriter Alice Gullick and party-starting covers band Java.

All weather family fun

With free entry from midday and undercover family fun including furry friends from Dartmoor Zoological Park and The Miniature Pony Centre, face painting, bouncy castles, a magician, paper crafts, competitions, and more the Summer’s End Cider Festival promises a whole day you and the family can enjoy come rain or shine!

A wide range of fine, British ciders

Sit back and relax till’ late with one, or even several of the range of local ciders, you’ll be pleased to know that this year the Pavlilions is proud to have introduced eco-friendly souvenir cups. And if you’re designated driver for the day or cider’s not quite you’re thing, don’t worry there's something for everyone (did someone say Pimm’s o’clock?!)

Back by (very) popular demand, South Devon Hog Roast and World Food Café will be offering up their lip-smacking goodies to keep those tummy rumbles at bay, as well as a few sweet treats including delicious scones and Langage Farm Ice Cream, because there’s always room in the dessert compartment.

Keep checking www.plymouthpavilions.com/ciderfest for updates and make sure you follow them on Twitter and Facebook.

Tickets are not necessary to attend the event and there is no entrance charge. All ages welcome.
