Lifton School Pupils Enjoy New Early Years Outdoor Play Area

Children at Lifton Community Academy,part of the Learning Academy Partnership, are making the most of their new outdoor play area.

The space gives young children a safe and engaging environment to explore and develop, featuring trikes, water play, and a range of other equipment designed to encourage active learning, coordination, and imaginative play.

Staff say the new play area encourages physical activity, teamwork, and confidence among the youngest pupils, while complementing the school’s wider Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

The EYFS at Lifton is designed to support children’s development and learning. Pupils enjoy a variety of activities, both indoors and outdoors, including play, creative arts, and music. The school is proud to offer high-quality provision that helps children build confidence, social skills, and a love of learning from the very start.

Adam Hill, headteacher at Lifton Community Academy, said:
“It’s been a joy to see our youngest pupils enjoying their new outdoor play area. Now spring has arrived, it’s been really rewarding to watch them making the most of the new equipment, building skills and confidence out in the sun together.”
