Blundell’s School Pupils Celebrate Exceptional A-Level Success

Blundell’s is celebrating another year of strong A-level results, a testament to the commitment, talent, and ambition of our pupils. We are immensely proud of each and every one of them. These achievements are the result of sustained hard work, resilience, and a readiness to seize every opportunity. They also reflect the dedication of our teaching and support staff, who continually go above and beyond to inspire and guide our pupils.

We have again had strong success with university placements. 85% of this year’s leavers have secured places at their chosen universities, with destinations ranging from Russell Group institutions in the UK to leading universities in the United States and Australia. Our most popular destinations are Bristol, Cardiff, Durham, Edinburgh and Newcastle.

Although we are not an academically selective school, our top 50 pupils, who could have chosen to attend such schools, achieved an impressive 63% A*-A and 94% A*-B. Overall, more than 70% of all grades were awarded at A*-B, with 38% at the coveted A* or A. Eight pupils achieved straight A* and A grades, an exceptional accomplishment. Beyond these individual successes, the results reflect the strength of the entire cohort, with pupils excelling across a broad range of subjects and sustaining consistently high performance.

These outcomes are even more remarkable given our pupils’ wholehearted participation in the school’s extensive co-curricular programme. From leadership in sport and the creative arts to adventurous challenges and community initiatives, they have shown that academic excellence and personal development go hand in hand.
