The London Beauty Training Academy (LBTA) have launched the first in a series of apprenticeship career guides in the run up to National Apprenticeship Week 2017, running from 6th March to 10th March.

A career in the beauty industry can suit people from all backgrounds and aspirations, from school leavers just joining the jobs market, to older people returning to work after a career break or those looking for a career change.

LBTA are running the career guides alongside National Apprenticeship Week, which looks to bring together employers and apprentices from across England to celebrate the success of apprenticeships over the last decade.

“National Apprenticeship Week is about celebrating the best in apprenticeships and traineeships. The week highlights the vital role apprenticeships and traineeships play in giving people from all backgrounds a ladder of opportunity.” Robert Halfon, Apprenticeship and Skills Minister

The first of the London Beauty Training Academy’s career guide, focussing How to become a Nail Technician, provides expert advice from the start of the ladder till the end.

The includes details of:

• The personal skills and qualities needed to start and thrive in a career in nail art and beauty
• The qualifications available and necessary for the work
• The essential skills an employer will look for in an employee
• Where a career as a Nail Technician can take you, and the relevant industries
• Typical income and the average working day
