Detectives in Plymouth are appealing for the public’s help in identifying a man from an Evofit.

Officers would like to speak to him in connection with an indecent exposure offence in Plymouth.

A man exposed himself to a 54-year-old local woman as she was walking alone over a bridge near Manadon roundabout at around 9.30am on Saturday 21 March.

Detectives are considering that this offence may be part of a series of exposures in that area of the city, potentially being linked to offences from 2013 and 2014.

The suspect is described as white, aged 20 to 30, of muscular build with fair or mousey straight hair, distinctive blue eyes and a round face. He is very well-groomed. He was wearing a shirt and light blue jeans, and may have had a hooded top tied around his waist.

Detective Sergeant Jon Mcloughlin, based at Crownhill, said: “The woman was left embarrassed, shocked and distressed by this incident.

“Although we are looking at this incident as part of a possible series, I would stress that at no stage has anyone reported being attacked or assaulted by this man.

“We are appealing for anyone who recognises the man from the Evofit or description to come forward with information.

“We would also like to speak to anyone else who may have been exposed to in the Manadon or surrounding area, who has not previously reported it to police. This will assist the investigation in building a wider picture.”

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact police by emailing 101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk, calling 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111, quoting crime reference CR/019536/15.
