ES Group appointed to market historic golf course
A GOLF club near Plymouth with more than 100 years of history has been put up for sale after going into liquidation. Agents at property and asset consultancy, ES Group, are offering Wrangaton Golf Club (‘Wrangaton’), on Dartmoor, for around £500,000, after liquidator Ian Walker, Partner at Begbies Traynor, was called in in late January.
Wrangaton, founded in 1895, is expected to remain open throughout the duration of the marketing period, until at least the end of February. Formerly an unincorporated members’ club, Wrangaton was incorporated in 2013, due to a growing difficulty in finding members who were able to act as trustees.

“Wrangaton is an attractive, historic golf course which offers players the chance to play a varied round of golf across open moorland and more traditional parkland. Set within stunning surroundings, Wrangaton offers prospective purchasers the opportunity to acquire a well-known facility just off the main A38 road between Plymouth and Exeter.”
