Video CCTV appeal after attempted robbery

Police are investigating an attempted robbery that took place at CJ Brown’s Newsagent in Thurlestone Walk, Leigham, Plymouth.

Two men walked into the store at around 9.45am on Sunday 7th August demanding to be given money. One of the suspects threatened a female shop worker with a kitchen knife but when the alarm was activated both suspects ran off.  The member of staff was not harmed but was left very shaken.

DS Ilona Rosson said: “ We have a good, detailed description of the two suspects and are keen to hear from anyone who recognises these two individuals. While no one was hurt and no money was taken the member of staff was understandably very shaken.”

The first suspect is described as wearing a black hoody with Nike across the front in white, with a bag across his chest, grey tracksuit bottoms and dark coloured trainers.  The second suspect is described as wearing a blue balaclava, a Nike jacket, navy on top and sleeves and grey at the bottom, grey tracksuit bottoms and grey trainers.
