Santa has just revealed details of his fabulous new Christmas grotto at Drake Circus shopping centre, Plymouth which this year will feature it's very own 8 metre tall Smeaton's Tower.

The grotto's red and white lighthouse, inspired by the original iconic Plymouth landmark on Plymouth Hoe, will provide a dramatic and spectacular backdrop for Santa and his elves, as  they carry out their important work of listening to children's present wishes and giving out gifts.

"I'm a big fan of Plymouth," said Santa, "I love its historic harbour - and all the amazing children I meet every year at Drake Circus. So this Christmas I wanted to do something really special - and I thought Smeaton's Tower would be a fantastic addition to my usual magical grotto."

"We are delighted that Santa has chosen to make his Christmas grotto so uniquely Plymouthian this year," said Centre Director, Greg Lumley. "We are really looking forward to seeing the looks of amazement and awe on children's faces as they see the spectacular grotto - and of course, get to meet Santa."

Santa will be welcoming children to his grotto in Drake Circus between 17th November - 24th December, after which he'll be setting off on his sleigh to deliver presents around the world.

Don’t miss your chance to meet him - and to avoid disappointment pre-book online at www.drakecircus.com or visit the grotto and book your slot with one of Father Christmas’s friendly Elves.
