Man crushed while unloading vehicle

Police in Plymouth are appealing for witnesses following an incident where a man was crushed whilst unloading a vehicle.

Police were called to the incident on Faraday Road, Plymouth at around 10.15am on  Thursday 7th January involving a stationary four axle extending frame flat bed HGV.

A 31 year old man from Bridgend was involved in the incident which resulted in him being crushed by a mechanism on the vehicle that he had been unloading.

He was conveyed to Derriford Hospital where he remains having sustained serious, and potentially life threatening injuries.

Officers from the CID, the Serious Collisions Investigation Unit and the Health & Safety Executive are carrying out a joint investigation and appealing for witnesses to this incident.
