Man arrested after serious assault in Plymouth

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault on a woman on Octagon Street, Plymouth, at around 6.30pm on Sunday 28 August.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and is currently in Police custody.

The victim is described as wearing a full camouflage tracksuit/onesie. This was a sustained and violent attack on a lone and vulnerable woman which occurred in daylight hours in public view.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack and for any information to help the investigation.
