Jack Wills is coming to Drake Circus Plymouth
Drake Circus has confirmed that British clothing brand Jack Wills will open at the South West's leading retail centre later this year.
Following its hugely successful pop up shop at Drake Circus over Christmas 2014, Jack Wills is set to make a triumphant return to Plymouth’s retail scene with its first proper city centre shop at Drake Circus this September.
Jack Wills is a British lifestyle and clothing brand that was founded 18 years ago in the nearby seaside town of Salcombe, Devon. With founder Peter Williams still at the helm, the brand has opened over 90 stores to date, including flagship stores in London, the US, Hong Kong and the Middle East.
Its collections range from contemporary formal wear and traditional tailoring to premium hoodies and technical gymwear – kitting out its customers for every possible occasion from après ski in the Alps to beach parties on the South Coast.
Known for its commitment to quality products, the brand has embarked on a mission called the Fabric of Jack. By opening up its supply chain, Jack Wills’ customers can go ‘behind the seams’ of their favourite garments to see how and where they are made.
Jack Wills will join a range of over 70 top retail brands at Drake Circus, which now includes fashion stores Superdry, Joules, Cath Kidston, White Stuff as well as Top Shop, H&M, Primark and M&S.
"We're delighted that Jack Wills will be joining Drake Circus," said Greg Lumley, Centre Director for Drake Circus. "The Jack Wills pop up was a massive hit - and with a 30,000 student population in the City and growing interest in the City for quality fashion and casualwear, this feels like exactly the right move. We’ll announce the opening date closer to the time."
“We are thrilled to once again be working with Drake Circus who were such a great partner throughout the Christmas period three years ago,” said Peter Williams, Founder & CEO of Jack Wills. "It is exactly this sort of long-standing collaboration that typifies The Fabric of Jack – our ongoing mission to celebrate our entire operation — championing our high quality, upstanding products from factory to shop floor. The South West has always played an important role in our brand DNA, and it’s great to finally be opening permanently in Plymouth.”
