Police have released an evofit of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary in Plymouth.

A man entered a property in Royal Navy Avenue, Keyham, through an unlocked door on Thursday 18 December, sometime between 9.45am and 10.20am.

The man stole a beige leather purse with butterflies on it, which contained cash and cards, from a shopping bag in the kitchen and then left.

After hearing the door being opened, the female victim, in her 80s, saw the man in her garden and challenged him. She shouted for help and a neighbour followed the offender in a car before losing sight of him.

The man is described as white, aged between 45 and 50, clean shaven with a thin long face, pointed nose and short brown hair, which was very short at the sides.

Anyone who recognises the man from the evofit or description is asked to call 101, or email 101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk, quoting reference CR/086983/15.

Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or reporting online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
