Cluttons, acting on behalf of Hanover Housing Association, has completed the sale of a 20-apartment residential building in the heart of Plymouth’s Barbican area to Bunny Homes for £1.3million.

Built in 1967, the five-floor premises known as Hanover Court includes 14 studios and six self-contained apartments. It also benefits from off street parking.

The building has been unoccupied for a number of years and is expected to be modernised.

Mark Clegg, Cluttons Head of Residential Investment, commented, “Hanover Court provided an excellent investment opportunity in the heart of the Barbican while being minutes from the harbour. Most of the apartments’ fittings and fixtures date back to the 1960s and the décor is somewhat dated meaning the scheme is a perfect refurbishment opportunity.”

Hanover Court is situated 400 metres from the Sutton Harbour Marina, one of Plymouth’s main tourist attractions. It is within an attractive area featuring cobbled streets, idyllic Cornish local shops, restaurants and public houses while Drakes Circus Shopping Centre and Plymouth University are a mere kilometre (0.6miles) to the north.
