Appeal after assault in Union Street

Police are investigating an assault that took place between 9.00-1030am on Saturday 27 May outside the Lidl and Aldi supermarkets, Union Street, Plymouth.

A man in his late 20s was assaulted by a man in Union Street, Plymouth on Saturday 27 May, following an altercation between the two.

The disagreement resulted in the victim being punched to the ground, where the offender stamped on and fractured the victim’s left arm.

The offender is described as a white male, in his late 40s, early 50s, wearing a round style hat.

Detective constable Moon said: “If you witnessed the assault, or saw activity in the area immediately afterwards, we urge you to come forward to police. Any information could be vital to our investigation of this assault.”
