The entire village of Bantham in South Devon is to be sold for £10 million

The village which has only 25 houses, a pub and a shop that opens only on weekends is set to be sold off as part of the a £35 million sale of a family owned estate.

The Government says that more than 2,000 people have put in offers on homes under the Help to Buy scheme, totalling £365 million of new mortgage lending.
