Praise for Another Black Hole
“The ability to glorify the mundane, the every day struggles and heartbreaks has long been the mark of the truly great songwriter, and once again Malcolm Holcombe’s doing it better than most” Acoustic magazine
“His wheezing, Woodbine drawl perfectly embodies the weary bitterness of a man at the end of his tether in “Sweet Georgia”. He's typical of Holcombe's characters, mostly scufflers ground down by resentment, for whom the American Dream is a bitter joke. Their plight is sanctified in sublime country-rock arrangements showcasing the diverse skills of dobro/banjo/guitarist Jared Tyler.” i / The Independent
“Another Black Hole is a compelling album and Malcolm Holcombe is a mesmerising performer” The Irish Post
