DEVON ARTIST NETWORK –THE SUMMER SHOW

Devon Artist Network (DAN) is pleased to announce THE SUMMER SHOW of members work Friday 21st -28th July 2017 at RedPod Arts at The Clay Factory, Ivybridge, Devon PL21 0EZ

Entrance FREE, OPENING TIMES  10am-4pm

Devon Artist Network (DAN) is a self-funded, non-profit making organisation set up to promote the visual arts and create opportunities for artists in Devon. This exhibition will focus both on new and established Devon artists, and feature a rich variety of paintings, photography, sculpture and mixed media in this brand new Arts Hub at the heart of The Clay Factory in Ivybridge.

“This Devon Artist Network exhibition is the start of an exciting collaboration between DAN and Redpod studios, with the aim of increasing public awareness of arts in Devon, ” said David Ayres,
organiser of the event.  “This new venue on the edge of Dartmoor is close to the A38 and within easy reach of Plymouth. It’s an excellent and flexible space which will be of great benefit to the artistic community in the South West and we look forward to showing there.”

RedPod Arts is a brand new arts hub at the heart of The Clay Factory in Ivybridge, it offers a place for artists and creative people to come together in a unique setting.  RedPod Arts have studio space available for artists to rent, as well as open studio space for new and emerging artists, with exhibition and workshop space available onsite.   The Clay Factory is a social enterprise which aims to put Ivybridge and the South West firmly on the map as an exciting destination for artists and art enthusiasts.

“We are extremely happy to be working with DAN as they are a highly respected arts organisation in Devon and we’re immensely pleased that they have chosen RedPod Arts as the venue for their summer exhibition,” said Damon Foster who works with The Clay Factory & RedPod. “The event is also part of our Emergence month at The Clay Factory which will include open studios with RedPod Arts and various engagement activities in our unique building.”

The Summer Show is one of a range of projects Devon Artist Network initiates across the county, throughout the year, including the well-established Devon Open Studios (DOS) event that runs annually in September.
