Pride In The Park 2013
For 2013 we are building on the strong foundations laid last year retuning to Devonport Park on Saturday 20th July. Pride in the Park is a FREE EVENT - families welcome.
The Pride in the Park event organised by Pride in Plymouth volunteers brings people together to celebrate and promote the diversity that exist within the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans communities in Plymouth. The Pride in the Park event also provides us with an opportunity to bring various organisations together to promote their services and ethos to a wide audience. The information, advice and support available at Pride in the Park allows us to advance our education so we can work together to eliminate discrimination in relation to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (lgbt) people in Plymouth, the surrounding area and further afield.
Entertainment
Once again we will utilise the recently rebuilt ornate bandstand for the main entertainment. There is five and half hours of live entertainment that kicks off at 1.30pm. Pride in the Park allows us to showcase some of the best local talent. This year the fabulous Miss Pussyfat will be co-hosting with our entertainment co-ordinator Jazmin. Our licensed bar and the Bar Rambla cocktail bar will be serving between 1.30 - 7pm. The Devonport Cafe will be providing the outdoor catering.
