Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich) returns with this four Oscar-nominated unconventional romcom set in the near future and starring Joaquin Phoenix (Walk the Line, the Master). Phoenix plays a lonely, heartbroken writer who becomes fascinated by the new advanced operating system he installs in his apartment called Samantha (Johansson). Amazed by her ability to learn and grow psychologically, he soon finds himself bonding with her over love and life, and wondering if she could be his soul mate. With a supporting cast including Amy Adams, a soundtrack by Indie rockers Arcade Fire, Spike Jonze's latest is a funny, uplifting and thought provoking film that looks set to become a classic.
